Quark Woes.. - 12.29.2006, 01:09 PM

Hello, I have been having a bit of trouble programming the quark 33 pro car 1/18th controller. I have everything set up properly and I programmed the nuetral position on the transmitter and such. All is well until I turn it on about 20 minutes later, all I get it is a continuous beeping alarm? I looked in the manual and troubleshooting on their site, and no luck figuring out the issue yet. It won't even let me reprogram the esc.

Edit: I have the female plugs on the motor and the male on the esc... could this be causing the problem?

I don't think the plugs have nothing to do with it unless it has a bad connection.
Did you ask quark thru email or phone about it?

Peace!

I would say that the plugs being on the wrong end has nothing to do with it. I just programed mine last week with issues as well. Their instructions definitely need help (or maybe I do....Ok, it's probably me). Your best bet is to give them a call. I personally couldn't find any answers on any web site or forum.

Btw, what are you putting it in? What motor did you get and with what batts?
I can't believe the speeds these little things get with these setups!

I had a little trouble programming mine, and I found I needed to move the throttle a little bit to the reverse side. It was like the neutral spot wasn't neutral enough or something.

As far as the setup goes..

RC18T
- Mamba 6400kv
- IB 1400 6 cell
- Airtronics MX-3
- Some unknown brand heli micro servo.

I sent them an email, however, I am guessing that they are on a holiday break.

EDIT: I figured things out. Turns out I had accidentally programmed in the LVC for Lipo... so that was the alarm going off. Charged it and did some serious 180->360-> infinite loops (concrete floor). Seems to pack some serious punch. Now if only it would stop snowing and raining.

I've been running mine alot lately too. The weather here is starting to change and get real cold here. Should dip into the high 60's this week so I need to get in all the driving I can before it gets too cold.:005:

haha.. we went from raining and no snow to about 2-3 inches on the ground today. I set up a small jump with cardboard and a bench last night...allowing me to run it around the basement a bit. This thing needs some more room to open up though. I forgot its 7 cells and 5400kv motor.
