rcm chassis on bl rusty

hey guys i have a spare 260 bucks laying around :005: and i was going to pick up this http://www.rcm-rc.com/products/produ...products_id=29 and these http://a123racing.com/html/starterkits.html# (the 3s1p) and i just want to make sure this setup will work.. prety much what im asking is will that chassis bolt directly on? and also will those batteries fit? i have some bunjie cords or even zip ties i can use. not a big deal. so lmk what i can do!!

hard to tell if those batt's would fit but personally i dont think so.
they gotta fit in between the chassis posts. wich are setup for 45mm wide batt's and these are 55mm wide.

ya i figured. i can stick witht he stock chassis i guess. no biggy just want something more flashy for my rusty. anyone have any ideas for a chassis?

flm chassis is basicly a flat milled out plate, that would allow you to mount any battery that is not wider then the chassis.

rea, i would rather have a flm chassis imo. that just doesnt look that appealing.

o ya huh i forgot about that one. how much does the flm weigh? this is my racing truck so im not really looking to make it heavy uk? but you are right though.. that chassis is nice looking. how strong is the chassis? and is it a direct bolt on?

its most likely lighter then stock, its direct bolt on i think.

well i know for a fact that their pede is lighter, so the rusty most likely is lighter aswell.:027:

On the RCM chassis, it looks to me like there's more than 45mm between the chassis posts. The 3s1p A123 pack is ~54mm wide. If you can, you might want to contact RCM-RC to get the dimensions on the chassis.

smart idea metal! do you know if the flm chassis is lighter than stock? and if so what are your thoughts on it

I have no idea how the FLM chassis compares to the stock chassis in terms of weight. From the looks, it might be about the same due to all of the milling.
Personally, I don't think I would ever buy one. I've only bought one aftermarket chassis for my Rustler, and that was the Nightmare chassis (they went out of business a year or two ago) that I got two or three years ago. I stopped using it about two years ago, and since then I've been making my own chassis. So, I wouldn't buy the FLM for that reason. But also, the FLM chassis is almost completely open to the elements - it seems like it would be a must to put balloons around everything.

If you drive on dirt or near damp surfaces, anything from the ground could easily get onto the chassis of the car.
