desert rat lid! - 03.07.2007, 01:47 AM

well i got a desert rat lid for my flm maxx, it looks sick, perfect fit too!! the maxx is coming together nicely, im just about to make the switch to brushless... i have to get everything else up to par first! a buddy of mine soldered me up some side by side 7 cell packs, wow what a difference! looks better too...
so far i have a flm chassis and towers, ofna long shocks, revo driveshafts and knuckles, 23mm adapters, 208in/oz servo, steel idler, quick turn front shaft, grey plastic bulks and skids, narrowed 40s with bow ties, and a UBEC.
i really need the proline servo saver... this white peice of crap aint cuttin it! i also really want the combo hybrid bulks... but damn thats alotta money to spend when it works just fine! maybe if i start killing diffs....
but the steering totally sucks... i gotta get the proline servo saver, it seems like the only option? anyone?
well heres some pics, i sure like the way this truck looks!:027:
heres a short vid from last weekend while i was running the maxx... it was going pretty good till the motors smoked! lol.. ive been experimenting with different motors... they are like $3.50 each so i thought it would be fun! i learned the stock titans are pretty damn good motors! lol... theres no doubt brushless is the only option...
thanks to all those who helped me choose parts!:028:

Pretty smooth looking body.... I'm thinking we need some sweet "nitro killer" decals to go on the side of our trucks. You have a good spot for a nice big one :D
