Brake issue - 03.25.2007, 09:17 PM

I have a quark 125/neu 1700kv setup with lipos. I finally got my maxx running again after a diff problem and notice a problem with the brakes. Sometimes after using the brake and releasing to coast the brakes will lock up and continue to brake for a few seconds or to a complete stop. Anyone experienced this or know what is going on?

Is reverse disabled? It could be trying to go into reverse.

Reverse is on the setting where the trigger needs to go to neutral first and then into the reverse position.

Does it do only do it if you go - brake-neutral-brake again while the car is still rolling. When mine was on the same reverse setting as yours, if I did that, it would slam it into reverse while still moving.

If it does it while rolling in neutral, I don't know what it would be, unless you have drag brake set, the throttle trim is out, or you have a very small neutral point (if that's what it's called) set and any small movement of the trigger towards brake is enough to tell it to brake/reverse.

What does the Neu 1700kv seem like on 4s? I'm thinking about getting a Neu and/or lipos for my e-maxx, but haven't made my mind up about which motor and how many cells.

Yes, that's right Patrick.

With the reverse enabled you can't go back to neutral with this setting. That way the car just hits reverse. But as far a i am reading the opening post, i don't think that this is his problem.

Did you checked all the connections from the motor to the controller? are they healthy?
