However, the voltage is off a bit, when i put them on fresh, it says 16.7 volts, the pack would actaully be at 18 volts then. So you can add a certain percentage to that, I'm going to try to calibrate it.

Well, does 16.7volts, and 18 volts seem off? But i've tried calibrating it before and it seemed like when i ran the thing, the voltage was very 'noisy'.

Does the charger have an lcd screen? Some chargers will show the voltage whenever the pack is connected even if it's not charging. This way you could see what it reads the voltage at.... then plug it into the eagletree in live mode and see what it says.
Also are you sure the charger is getting them to exaclty 3.6 per cell?
16.7 vs 18.0 is too far off to be "right"
The voltage will fall off from 18 pretty quick... but hot off the charger it should be there.

Yah, the A123's will hold the 18volts for days it seems right off the charger, i think they have the lowest self discharge on the market. The power supply i am using is set to exactly 18 volts (LCD, yes), this thing is deadly accurate. It has to be the eagle tree... I'm gonna play around tonight to see if i can get it working properly. thanks

I just topped up the pack, after i took it off it was still 18 volt. Okay, this time it is saying 17.6 volts? what is going on? I wasn't hooked up to a vehicle, i was doing a bench test with my old 820 dewalts, they can take alot of current running nothing but themselves, those selfish brushed hooligans! :005:
