Stampede transmission help - 06.07.2007, 03:42 PM

I have an older style stampede and I've just replaced all of the internal transmission parts and upgraded to the newer style stampede slipper clutch, RC Monster Aluminum/steel differential and steel idler gear. When everything was back together I found that shaft that the slipper clutch is on is loose, it will move up/ down and in/ out only a little bit but enough where I'm sure it will be a problem once I start to run the new 5700MM setup. What did I do wrong?

Thanks,
Nick

I figured out my own problem. I put the gear that is attached to the slipper shaft upside down. This was causing the shaft to stick further out and not sit inside the bearing on the other side. The gear had to be hammer down on the shaft for it to work. Hope this helps someone in the furture.

I'm sure it will.... that is if people actually use the search function. That's why I like descriptive titles - much easier to search.
