Rene Thank you very much. My friend had to talk me thru it over the phone. I will be using a 9XL, warrior 9920 & maxamps 2s2p 8000 MAH lipo's or 4s to power it .

9Xl on 2s2p, thats doesnt sound like much power, wouldnt 3s2p give you alot more speed, or am I showing up my lack of knowledge?
On the subject of radio boxes, I would have liked to have had an old T-maxx 1.5 radio box, rather than the newer grey type (wrong shape to fit an emaxx). It does do a damn good job of tidying up the wires on your ERT. *jealous mode engaged*

My bad im using two 2s2p 8000 MAH or 4s toal. The black plastic on the battery trays is kydex plastic. I measured the lipo's & then cut a 2 by 4 to size & shaped the plastic around it. The Gmaxx straps will be between the plastic & aluminum end cap. I'm also thinking about using a side to side strap.

I reckon a Gmaxx strap from one end of each battery box to the other would be fine- bolt it onto the aluminum end caps either on the inside or out side, depending on how snug a fit the batts are in their boxes. Do you have the batts already- a pic would prove useful in seeing how tight a fit they are.
That and we like picks around here, as you should know..... :)

Yes i have the batterys. They fit very snug in the boxes, no slop at all . There is 1/8 of a inch of foam rubber all around & underneath the batterys. The foam is not in the boxs in these pics.

Very, very nice hippie! I assume you got the UBEC inside the radio box?
Although I really wanted that radio box! J/K, I was going to remove it anyhow. :)

LOL:005: yes brian the UBEC & LVC are inside the box. I'm pretty sure there is another radio box in your package.

That is a clean setup. It should run very well. I don't know about that 9XL on 4S not being powerful enough. I'm running a 9XL on 4S in my 8ight T. I won't say the power is stupid, but it's still fast enough to pull the front wheels if you don't exercise caution with the throttle. Mine is faster than any nitro on the track. I have mine geared 14/46 and it is a wicked tight to medium track setup.
