Updates of the family - 10.20.2007, 11:46 PM

Thought I'd post up some updated pictures of all of my rc's. At the moment, only one is working but another should be working as well within the next couple weeks or so.

The Xterminator is the one that is always working. It was also my very first conversion. The system I am running in it is:
- MM ESC
- Feigao 9xl motor (1853KV)
- UBEC
- TrueRC 4s2p 8k lipo pack
- RC-Monster motor mount
- custom battery tray
- Spektrum receiver
- Hitec HS-645MG
The ESC and motor both have fans as well, which amazingly keeps all the temps below 140*F with normal driving. I can get the temps up if I want, but generally, I am very pleased with the performance of it. Its geared 18/46 as well. No upgrades on at the moment either. And so far absolutely nothing major has broken except for a bent dog bone and wing.

My RC10GT is the one that should be ready to drive in next couple weeks. All I need is an MM ESC. I am going to the hobby shop to buy front/rear shocks, and I already purchased a pinion and bullet connectors from Mike. I also already have a UBEC that I purchased from Mike a while ago on accident. I am planning to use:
- MM ESC
- Feigao 7L motor (3511KV)
- UBEC
- Max Amps 2s5p 5500mAH saddle pack
- RC-Monster motor mount
- Spektrum receiver
- Hitec HS-5645MG
Unfortunately, it is the only battery that will fit. It should still give good performance though. It is going to be geared 18/62 at the moment. The upgrades are RPM blue front bumper, RPM blue front/rear a-arms, RPM blue bulkhead, RPM body posts, RRP diff gear, RRP idler gear, Pro-Line Moab tires, and the AE factory team chassis. I'm sure there is more, but that is all I can think of at the moment.

My Revo is completely ready to drive except for the electronics. I heard that the MMM should be coming by the holidays (probably not knowing CC), but I might as well wait until then, since I am not in any hurry. Then Tekin is also coming with an ESC, which gives me another reason to wait until then. My plan is to run:
- Castle Creations MMM/Tekin RX8 ESC
- Neu 1515/1y motor (2200KV)
- TrueRC 4s2p 8k lipo pack
- RC-Monster motor mount
- custom battery tray
Not sure on gearing exactly, but I have the wide ratio gear set in right now and the 36t spur on also. It is locked into 2nd gear as well.

The newest vehicle to my collection is the LSP. I got this in a trade from lincpimp. I am not sure what my exact plans are for this vehicle, but I would like to try out a higher voltage than just 4s. I was thinking the 1515/2.5d (1700KV) on 6s with ??? ESC. Not exactly sure. But feel free to post up your own LSP conversions if you want or give me recommendations for this car. I was also playing with the idea of selling this to fund my other cars, which is probably the most likely thing to happen. It just really bug me to have rollers sitting on the shelf sitting there... And then later buy an 8ight T, CRT, or similar truggy.

Thanks. It is a Revo motor mount with a modified bottom plate by Mike. It only required 1 extra hole to be drilled into the chassis.

That's a really nice set of trucks. Once you get your revo up and running it wouldn't be too hard to swap the electrics into the lsp for a test would it.

That is actually very true MTBiker and shouldn't be hard at all. And unfortunately I never even thought of that.

I think that is what I will do now. Buy the electronics, and decide which one I like better. From there I'll just see what happens with both cars.

I couldn't stand looking at my Revo being so empty, so... I decided to put the brushless system from my 1/8 buggy into it. The system in it is:
- Mamba Max ESC
- Feigao 9xl motor
- UBEC
- TrueRC 4s2p 8000mAH lipo pack
- RC-Monster motor mount
- custom battery tray
- custom receiver tray
- custom ESC/UBEC tray
- geared 18/38
The wires appear to be very messy, but to be honest, they are actually quite neat. I think its just the angle of the shots, everything seems very cluttered. I was running it 18/36 for the test run, but when I took the motor out and put it back in, the pinion and spur didn't reach for some reason, so now I have a 38t spur in it at the moment. I haven't tried it with the new spur yet, but I am sure the temps should go down a little, not that they were that bad in the test run.

Doesn't everybody love a hacked up body:

Electric > Nitro:

Internals (wires aren't as sloppy as they look):

Let me know what you think. Geared 18/36, it was wicked fast on the street, so hopefully with the 38t spur, it will be perfect for the dirt. .
