Mbx5T Truggy BL conversion - 01.07.2008, 09:50 PM

Ok guys I am going to pick up a MBX5T roller and I want to convert it to Brushless power. I have been running Brushless boats for a couple seasons now so I have some stuff already. I plan on using the RC product designs conversion and a Neu motor along with my 4s Flightpower Lipo's. I also have a Mamba Max esc that I want to use. What new motor would you guys use for this setup....I want it competitive on the track but not overkill. I am thinking a Neu 1515 would have enough power but I also have a 1521 1Y that can be used as well. Let me know what you guys think.

The general wisdom is that for the larger nue motors a MM will not work as doesn't like the more than two pole motors...

If you are investing I would go for the MGM160.

I did a MBX5T conversion - I can recommend Mikes kit as it retains stock diff which is simpler.

Yep and i've this Mugen motor mount sitting here for you. Shout me $45.00 and it to you! I've sell my MBX5 buggy but keep the motor mount, in case of
I've grind a little bit material just up the bearing carrier, because i want to keep the mechanical brake, but it,s nothing, just a little lips remove.
