Aluminum tranny case - 06.27.2005, 02:35 PM

Hey, I heard a while back that Fastlane was cutting a new tranny case for the stampede /rustler. I was wondering if there was any progress with that and where its at (when it will be available? )

They are currently available and the price is $60. I will get them listed in the store and try to get some pictures up for you. I just installed one in my pede yesterday! Sweet is all I have to say! It completes the package nicely.

Got any idea what their weight comparison is to the stock plastic crap?

The pede is so light, that ounce or so won't make any difference. They are very similar in weight to the stock tranny case, actually. My full aluminum extended pede is amazingly light weight and fast. Been playing with at around the house quite a bit lately(and I don't usually bash much!)

Alright! The first available gearbox upgrade for a 'Pede/Rustler! $60 isn't too bad either, considering that Cold Fusion sold their diff gear for $60. I just wish I had an available $60.

Hmm, I think I always under-rated Pedes. The stuff I hear and see here makes me curious. Would love to see a hoped-up BL Pede in person.

yep, the SS 5800 geared 25/84

The esc doesnt get all that hot considering its placement on the chassis, it gets good airflow. It does however heat the battery up real good, I only get about 9 or 10 minutes out of a pack before its too hot
