Can something be "re-anodized" - 12.20.2007, 09:39 AM

Hi all,

i've seen how the oven cleaner can strip the anodizing, but I was wondering if something that is anodized can simply have another coat put over the top in a darker colour

eg. I've got something anodized purple that i want black, can i just anodize the purple part black?

hope that makes a little sense

thanks in advance

You would have to strip the current anodize then reanodize an anodizer will do this all for you, I would go to www.mrpaintin.com they anodize all my stuff they are reasonable and have done a good job on everything for me so far.

You do not need to do anything to your current parts to have them reanodized.
Simply send your purple parts to an anodizer and they will return black. Or any color for that matter.
