Neu 1509 1.5D motor - 11.30.2007, 02:07 AM

Anybody know where I can buy a Neu 1509 1.5D motor? I am hoping somebody has one in stock somewhere? I have an email in to Mike, but I am not optomistic that he will be able to land his hands on one quickly...

About two weeks ago, I saw that Mike didn't have one in stock, so I ordered one from Diversity Model Aircraft. It showed "in stock" on their website, and the website let me process my order, so I paid the $218 via pay pal and have been waiting ever since. Well I never got shipping notification so tonight I decided to check on the order...Steve emails me back with oh yeah..."I'm sorry its out of stock...there is a 4-8 week wait for that motor."

What is up with that?!?! Why would it show in stock in their online catalog and why wouldn't they contact a customer to make the notification that the product is on backorder?

What's a good alt to the 1509 1.5D?

It looks like offshoreelectrics.com has them in stock.
By the way where in WV are you? I'm going back home to Morgantown for Christmas.

I'm very interested to see how this works for you. I've been considering a 1509 for a light 1/8 buggy race setup.

4s 4-5k lipo... or better yet a 5-6s pack in the 3-4k range. But I have too many irons in the fire and too much debt a the moment, lol.

Jammin CRT MM/Neu 1515 1700kv
Losi 8IGHT MM/Neu 1512 1900kv
Kyosho 777
T4 MM 5700
B4 LRP
XX4 MM 7700
old losi xxcr, MM4600 4s lipo 70mph+

Yeah...I am working two projects simultaneously...CRT and a CRT.5

I will probably run 3S or 4S in the CRT.5 with the 1509 1.5D (gearing 15/46)....what do ya think? 4S would really be pushing it on the RPMs...

Wow, that would be a hot motor on 4s!! I like it.

Seriously, for 4s I would go lower on the kv... unless you are looking for a speed run car. I ran a MM 4600 on 4s and easily hit 70mph in my 1/10 buggy. It makes retarded amount of wheel speed and power, hee hee.
