No, the bolt spacing is wider and the can is too big, and the bolt are m4 thread too. I am sure that Mike could make you a mount that would work!

Will a KB45 8L Motor fit to the E-Maxx motor plate of my G-Maxx singlespeed if i would drill up the holes to fit M4 screws?

Not a chance. The standard diameter for motors is 36mm, but the KB45 is 45mm in diameter- it wont be able to mesh properly without hitting the tranny. You could use a reverse motor mount though- mount one motor plate on top of the other, with some spacers inbetween, sandwiching the spur. You will need to make a custom second mount though, or modify the 2nd one, since the kb45 uses 4mm screws and has a 30mm mounting pattern (normal motors use a 25mm pattern).

Also the kb 45 has a 6mm shaft. So you either need some 6mm pinions, or have the shaft turned down to 5mm.

I found a solution at a boat shop here in Germany:

I don't know how this thing is called in english, but it with it, i can mount a 700size Motor with a 30mm pattern to the 25mm pattern motor plate of the E-Maxx. The KB45 has got 9mm more in diameter than my 8XL and between the tranny and the 8XL is a space of 5mm, so the pinion and spur will mesh properly.
I'll order a KB45-8L right now and if it arrives and i have grind down the shaft to 5mm, i'll tell you if and how it works with a MM on 4s Lipo!

That was a stroke of luck. Do let us know how well the motor mounts up, there are people on other forums wanting to know if the kb45 will work on the RCM revo mount too.

that looks like a nice-n-easy solution right there. If the KB 045 can is really a 700 size, I'd like to see a mount plate that can handle the 550 pattern as well at the 700 (30mm) pattern. Maybe I will make my own.....

If you cant find it, Mike can always custom make you a suitable adaptor, plus he ships world wide.
