Wierd radio signal cut? - 01.05.2008, 07:21 PM

Well, I was running my G2R doing some tests to see if I could gear up (basically see if the ESC was too hot, which it wasn't - 90*F! ).

Anyways, when doing some top speed passes (which weren't so high, the truck is very undergeared), and on braking, it would brake down to about 10mph, then it would act as if it lost radio signal, roll for about 5-10ft, and right as I'm about "CRAP" and start to run after it, it gets signal again...

Now, any sort of interference whatsoever has never happened to me with my Spektrum setup. The only time was when the antenna on my spektrum micro got tore in half and was 1 inch long, then it just limited my range to about 50ft, but within that distance, it was glitch-less.

At first I thought maybe my antenna was too short, so I put a new antenna tube on which holds it nice and high, where the last 1cm is folded back my the antenna cap. This helped, but only a little. I'm thinking that maybe it just has to do with something in the area I was running in (outside my house) as it seemed to happen more on on side than the other, but even so, no glitching has ever happened with my Spektrum.

I'm running a CC BEC set to 6.2v off 4S Lipo and it even has the spektrum voltage protector thingy (basically a cap) plugged into the receiver, so that will help hold voltage up as well.

Any thoughts?

Do you have another RX to test?

I had this happen to one of my RX's, I had to get a new one, and couldnt ever figure out what's wrong with it, so I cant really suggest how to fix it lol
