MMM E-maxx + 9XL on 6s - 05.15.2008, 11:13 PM

My MMM is working great. Here's a quick vid running 3 x 2s 8K lipos geared 24/62.

Forgive the guy talking during the video. I had just destroyed his nitro Savage in a drag race (on only 4s). I let him have a decent head start and I wheelie'd as I blew past him.

I let him drive mine on 6s and he couldn't get over how fast it was at only part throttle. He, two of his brothers, and their dad all own Savages. Maybe I can convert them all to the new era of brushless.

He's down by the river ... walking on water.

Once again nicely done. I took mine off and hooked it up to Castle link and it started working again. Going to try to get video this weekend or so with it on my emaxx again.

Yep, it has the stock drivetrain. It's mostly stock actually.

Upgrades:
-shock springs
-RPM skids, bumpers, shock tower
-Traxxas single motor mount
-Airtronics servo (single)
-Spektrum DX2.0
-MMM
-9XL

That's it. Everything else is stock.

I actually didn't check motor temps with my temp gun. I only ran it as long as what you see in the video so nothing really had time to get warm. I also didn't run it with the body on because I was in a hurry.

I'll try to get some real running time in this weekend, and I'll be sure to keep track of temps and what-not. I'll likely be running 4s though, because that's more than enough speed for what I do.

I might go to a longer road though with the 6s to see if I can go faster than 58mph. I'll let you know if I do.

I ask because thats gonna be my exact setup. when my mmm comes in. I do run a 22pinion but i have a ton of jato spurs so i can gear anyway i want. Im also in the same boat were 6s is realy more than i need. I like to bash in the dirt. But with that said. you can just gear down loosen the sliper, and have the longer runtime. Now if your racing the reduced weight by running 4s might be worth it. All depends on your application. Man i cant wait!!!!

By graph thing do you mean throttle and brake curves? I didn't mess with them.

I think punch and brake were both set at 30%, but I can't really remember. Everything else was left at default except for "auto-lipo" cutoff.

you should of got some boards and launched it off of that trailer in the background. That would have been cool

I told him he didn't need to pay me, but he insists. I'm not going to decline free money twice! It will pay for a couple of Jato spurs to see if I can go faster!

I would get some new tires - Those stock ones are really heavy.... but they did make it track very straight...
