hey guys i was thinking about going brushless for my e revo but u no i was also thinking about eventually getting a savage xl but do u guys think that i should get a savage xl now and then eventually go brushless or go brushless then get a savage xl?
brushless is great but I would consider waiting for the v3 MMM. Many are still having good luck with theirs including me but they (v2) are still kinda limited in supply.
yes he does. I was refering to the fact that if it happens to die he will be SOL until CC has more. If you have the money to go brushless in the REVO I would but don't get to disappointed if you get a MMM and it dies, CC will take care of you. However don't skimp on the motor either. A Feigao will run hot and eventually die. Medusas aren't much more money and way better quality. Neus are top notch but come with a hefty price tag. CC will be releasing a combo soon, decent quality, great price.
I have a brushless Savage XL and a brushless e-revo. For whats its worth, at first I hated the XL, until I changed tires to the Losi Bolt-ons. I also went to one piece rear hubs and replaced all the steering be1lcranks with aluminum.
I'm still not happy with the steering rod ends. The brushless Savage XL is a ton of fun to drive, it jumps highing and farther then my brushless E-revo and I cant explain why. The three speed is fun to watch shift too. Both trucks run the MMM V2 with Neu motors. 1515 1Y 16 tooth pinion and stock spur on the savage, 48 mph radar confirmed on Max Amps 14.8 8400 lipo.
E-revo has a 1515 1.5 D and it has run as fast as 56 mph on two wheels normally its geared for 45 mph for bashing. I did use a Kershaw Designs motor mount for my Savage and I installed thae battery inside the frame under the motor. Problems, I cant keep a stock pinion in the Savage, been thru 4 pinions so far, I'm doing the Cen Gen conversion this weekend. Body is too short (wheelbase) IMO. I also toasted the stock servo steering arm and then the stock servo. I'm currently using a Hitec servo witha servo saver for safety. I bash hard, the revo has lost 3 diffs also and some other stuff like plastic driveshafts until I went to CVDs. I have pics if you want to see the truck or if have any more questions drop me a line.
