Pimpin' Wit Lincoln - Larger scale build -
12.30.2008, 09:21 PM
Ok, so I have been on a crawler kick recently. And I have to have a few projects going at the same time, gotta have something to do while waiting on parts, right?!
So I was looking for a nice scale body for my 1.9 crawler (see other scale thread) and found this navigator. Looked kinda big in the pics, but I had no idea what size it was. Ebay ad stated it had a 9.6v batt so I figured it had to be at least 10th scale. It was 15 bucks buy it now, with another 15 for shipping. 30 bucks is not too bad for a body, and this was complete with interior... So I bought it.
And then the box came...
And it was a big box...
And the truck inside was also big...
So to make a long story even longer, I bought some wheely king axles cheap (widest 10th scale axle that is easy to get parts for) and figured that I could build my own chassis, etc out of what I have hanging around...
Nore to come, but check out the pics of this beast, rollin' on dubs dawg!

So I rolled the bad boy into the shop...
Had to pull the motor first:
Then the system had to come out:
Doing a full custom chassis, so off with the body:
A few snaps of my gangsta interior, big pimpin'!

"Anything less than the best is a felony" Great song! Freaked out some of my brother's friends a few years back when they played it at Rock-N-Bowl and I sang it word for word
