what motor for my rc8 - 05.13.2009, 08:55 PM

Well i might be getting a truggy so my 2200kv castle motor will be swapped into the truggy.

So what motor would you pick to run in my rc8 buggy.
Most likly i will pick out a medusa but what size and kv should i go with. I want good power about 45mph at the most. It will be running of my mmm and 4s batterys.

I'd look for a 36-60-2000 or 36-70-200 if you want Medusa.

I'd look for a 1512/2D or 1512/2.5D if you want a Neu.

I have the Medusa 36-60-2200 on my Hyper 7 and it works great with 4S.

After running it fairly hard on a soccer field until the LVC, the temps were still acceptable; fyi, it is geared for about 43mph and its quite torquey.

Even if you gear it to 45mph, it should be fine since your buggy is lighter/better than mine.

I say go for the 36-60-2200, and you should be happy.

CC2200. I run it, and love it....not worried as much about temps as with the smaller 1512's. Also going to try the 1515 1.5D next....see how that works.
