Hey guys, I know some of you have heard of this and maybe even tried it. But I thought I'd post a "How-To" for all to use.

It's a great trick for extending the life of your lid... and it actually works great!

I use the same method for years now.. Before the drywall tape, I use to use staples..

i just use shoe goo, and i do it before i even run the body it works well

Interesting, I have a whole roll of that dry-wall tape (plasterboard tape to us Brits) in my tool box for some reason; might actually have use for it given the state of my old gmaxx beater shell...

Ben doing the hole gimmick for 20+years in the autobody industry, Shoe-Goo is a life saver also !

I like to reinforce my bodys around the body post holes with another layer of lexan and Shoe-Goo and let it dry a 3-5 days prior to running the new body. Helps them last a Looooong time.

you know its completly set up in like 20 minutes? lol no need to wait a day

If you use a lot, it's best to let it cure as long possible,several days somtimes.

Every different application may have a diiferent cure time, no way is the wrong way.

I'm doing this now with gorilla glue epoxy and I'm looking forward to the out come. The drywall tape doesn't ad hear well to I had to use some CA to hold it up while I applied some gorilla glue epoxy on it.
