I have a feeling the motor may not like that... My money is on the lipo doing ok, but I would prefer to see a little more capacity.

I run a 833kv outrunner that is about twice as powerful in my 10th comp crawler. It is geared for about 8mph. I run 1800-2100mah 25c 3s lipos. I have gone up to a 2200 30c neu recently, and I notice the difference. This is the same outrunner that did 50mph on 4s in my direct to diff redcat project (long time ago...). I have some experience with those crawlmasters, and had better luck with a axi 2217 (tiny motor). Just my experience here, but I would go with a higher kv inreunner and gear it lower. Something like 2500kv s can style motor.

its good advise but i already have the motor so im planning on useing it, my ax10 is more of a trail truck than a comp crawler

i currently have some hyperion 1600mah 35c 3cell packs but they are alittle long to mount on the front axal so im looking for a shorter pack

1st off I doubt that outrunner will like the gearing required to do 30mph on 3s lipo. I have some experience with this motor, and not much success.

Keep in mind you have a 10th scale truck here that you want stock electric rustler speeds out of. Depending on runtime desired I would guess that you want no less than 2500 mah 25-30c pack. Smaller packs with good c ratings may do the job but you will not get much runtime out of them. Just my 2 pennies... What are you building? Rock racer?

i reaized that my gearing plans were all wrong for this truck (my first rock crawler im still learning and my first thought of a needed speed was way off ...lol )

after diveing a buddys i realized that 8mph would be more than enuff and that i will be pushing the limmits of off the shelf gearing to achieve anything more with that low of a kv

it looks like if i did want to go that fast i would need a motor around 3100kv according to brians caculator

my original plans were for a rock racer yes
