CMS5700 Magnet/Rotor issue? - 11.14.2009, 08:19 PM

Hey, guys. I think I blew up my 5700 though i'd like to get some confirmation.

The motor still turns. it works when power is applied. When spun by hand It rotates 180 degrees smoothly like normally and the other 180 degrees drags as if the magnet popped off of the rotor. Does this sound about right?

I guess running it on 4s wasn't that good of an idea :(...... :)

If the rotor seperates from the shaft, it should still turn smoothly by hand, but act as though the slipper is loose when you mash the throttle. Sounds like maybe the magnet has spit inhalf more like- open up the endbell and take a peak inside to be certain.

4s was perhaps a tad too many rpms though yeah, should keep that motor pegged to 3s at most
