What would you put in your SC truck?

Novak 4.5 seems to be the best option from the racers I've seen. Some of those tried the Castle setup and went back to the Novak to use 2s saying it had the right amount of power needed.

What kind of run times are you getting?

We are recommending the HVs or Ballistic 550s in 4x4 short course racing on 2S. The 540 Ballistics are fine in most 2WDs, but the beefier trucks need the beefier motor and 5mm shaft of the 550s.

This seems to be an ideal platform for the hv motors. I am sure a neu 1509 with a MM or MMpro would be good as well. I ran my hyper ste with a 4500kv 1509 on 2s and it did very well. The sc trucks will be a bit heavier but not too much. I am sure any 1/8 buggy setup would work well but since 2s seems to be popular a higher kv motor such as the hv4.5 of 1509 1d would be best.

Unless you have a smooth can or are happy to grind away fins I would avoid the 1509...

The other downside to the 1509 is it doesnt have the option of running sensored. I love sensored startups with my MMP, way better than without.

All I have is unsensored MMMs.I got thatHyper 10 SC deal at nitrohouse includes the Havoc pro HV 4.5 motor.I also have a complete MMM 2650 combo extra. Is the Havoc worth a try?Or go MMP?Will the MMM ESC fit?

IMO if you already have the Havoc pro and HV 4.5 I would just run with that, it will do just fine for you and will be plenty fast. I'l sure you could probably get an MMM to fit in the 10 sc, but it would be heavier and overkill if you ask me. The MMP or Tekin RS pro are the best esc's for this app, but no sense in buying them if you already have the Novak. I'm running an MM in my SCRT 10until my MMP comes in from Castle (upgraded a burnt MM) then I'll be running that with sensored startup NOT full sensor just like in my Ve8 minus a few volts

Will they let everyone upgrade a burnt up MM to a MMP? or was that a special occasion... What is the price to do this?

Price is $80.

So when will CC offer a sensored SC MMP combo?
I hope its soon, that would be awesome. I'm tired of putting frankenstein combos together

I can fit my 4s Blue lipo into my battery tray on my 10sc.I still will be using the Novak HV 4.5 system in mine though on 2s.Just hope the Havoc pro doesnt overheat.
