Motor Mount -
07.09.2010, 11:32 AM
hey guys,
really liking the elite rc motor mounts on here.
i currently use the RCM mount, witch is also very good, but looking to maintenance and the need to switch pinions for either racing or bashing very often, im looking into an ERC mount.
already emailed the guy, but no reply so far.
anyone knows when the mbx6 mount (with will fit my mbx5-t) be in stock again? or maybe some site i can also buy them?
would also apreciate if some one can explain if the angle on that mount has any disadvantages?
thx.
Gr Ron

Mike is in the process of redesigning the motor mounts to use a single screw for adjustment...
I believe Brushlessboy16 has one for the 8...
It might be worth emailing mike or looking into the newer designs...

Sure, we can discuss Mike's new mounts!
Keep contacts and discuss with the other brand elsewhere. Mike owns and runs this beloved forums. We don't need to piss him off by talking about support for other main competitors.

It is available - Mike I believe will be updating all mounts to this style as stock and time allows

Voodoo magic.
The screw goes through the plastic spacer-type thing, and that goes into the larger bottom hole on the mount, then the screw tightens into the motor.
I think Mike needs to include a basic exploded diagram along with the photo of each mount in the store- Im seeing lots of confused people lately who cant figure it out through trial and error..

Well I figured something like that, and would probably have gotten to it if I actualy had one in my hands for trial and error.
But you are right, mike should probably add a exploded diagram, because I think there are a lot of people who don't buy this mount if they don't have a clue (and therefore a lack of confidence) on how this part works.

Sounds like they are being converted to the style Mike used on his Losi Ten-T mount, right?
