hi guys,
what would be a good speed control for this motor? and what voltage would it run best on? what vehicles would it be good for? has a kv rating of 2903.
I know there was a thread to do with this motor but i did a search and cant find it.
Thanks for any help :)

You could use 4s Lipo or 12 NiMh cells with a motor like that. It might be good for a lightweight E-Maxx.

Dont you think that little motor would run a bit hot? Or maybe it would be similar to a normal 540 "L" motor.
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

yup. like coolhand said, its about the size of an hv (i have 3 of these little motors). only disadvantage is the fact that you need to make a motor mount...

I was thinking the same thing squee.
Edit:
I found the L at 57 mm long and the xl at 67mm long. both are a touch shorter than the 540 motors.
Peace!
