USB Lead -
08.25.2006, 03:43 AM
Bought my 5700 about 2 weeks ago, still not arrived but that's typical with USPS coming to the UK for me. :024:
Does the USB cable come with all the packages, or do you have to buy it seperatly?

Yes, the USB cable comes with it. It's a standard type A to mini type B cable so if it doesn't come with it for some reason, you could pick one up. I would download the newest version of the software though.

Yeah, CompUSA is never cheap. I was actually just pointing out that it is a standard USB cable, not some proprietary connector on the non-computer end. If you want cheaper, how about this?

It's really a moot point since it comes with one. But it's nice to know what fits if it ever goes bad or you lose it...
One thing about programming the ESC: make sure the USB cable is plugged all the way into the ESC. I didn't have mine all the way in and it wouldn't connect to the PC (go figure), but it needed a little more push to seat it all the way.

If so, How? I have two and can't find the plug, unless you have to mod a mini male to the reciever plug

You use the old PHX-Link, now called the Castle Link with the mamba 25, it was originally intended for the phoenix aircraft ESC's but it works with the mambas.

Do you know if the software from the mamba max will work with this setup? and exactly how does it connect to the mamba 25? Through the reciever plug? Sorry for all the Questions, I like to know how something works before getting it

The software is the same, but you need an additional plug at the end of the USB cable for it to work with the Mamba 25. We will sell that part separately for those of you who have Mamba Max's for $18.95+shipping.
