well more pics from today. I will have it finished this weekend, its not an option or a maybe itll be done or atleast functional minus a couple small items i can do in a week or two. We have a series race next weekend and i need my trailer back at my house so i can get my stuff in it and get 3 of my 4 cars that ill be racing rebuilt and ready during next week. I've got a ton of tires to glue (12 sets as of right now unless i get some more wheels in this coming week) and i gotta get organized.

this actually took awhile... front counter top follows the curve of the front of the trailer.

through the side door, (which will be getting a window put in it after the 1st race)

and finally the counter top i went with, ill be gluing it down tomorrow.

my dad always told me if your gonna do something do it right! This is one project i definetly won't be redoing, because i think i got it right the 1st time.

Looking good ross, what material did you settle on for the counter?

went with the laminate. easy to clean, perfect for my application, easiest to work with my odd counter top. plus i got it as a left over piece from a custom cabinet shop for $80.

I was told it was some of the better laminate i would find, and after cutting on it and such they weren't pulling my leg, its cuts clean and is not brittle.

A window? You sure that's a good idea?
I mean, blinds or anything?

Because... wouldn't a window in the door make stealing things (not to be TOO negative) a bit...easier?

Nothing wrong with laminate. I am using the stuff that came out of my new house in my rc workshop and it is taking a beating and still looking good. I have used the knife on it, and had the soldering iron on and nothing is really happening. I like it, plus it cleans very easy. I keep a soft bristle counter brush handy, and a spray bottle of cleaner too.

I have to agree about putting a window in this rig. It just creates an easy access where you really do not need one. Without a window you could have a pretty good security setup that will prevent anyone from seeing let alone getting to your toys while it is parked overnight. Unless you plan to have a couple of pit bulls sleeping in the trailer.

Love the way things are turning out Ross. Nice clean work, and looks very efficient as well. I know I am jealous. Good luck meeting your schedule. Seems like you have quite a lot on your plate. Also good luck with your racing this year. Looking forward to seeing the trailer completed.

wiring it up tomorrow morning and ill finish the front walls final pieces in a couple weeks. but its "done" for now

I remember reading what you were using for lighting, fluorescent?

How about LED strips from hobbyking?
Cheap, effective, and holydamn bright.

yep (3) 4 foot dual bulbs under the overheads to finish off the lighting

Damn, that will be some serious lighting!! I have 2 4foot duals (t8) over my 13ft bench and it does the job. I could do with a 3rd over my charging station/toolbox, as it gets a bit dark in that corner.

What are you going to use as solvent in your parts washer? I used Super Clean in mine, with less than stellar results. It says not to use flamable solvent (im assuming that is a HF solvent tank?) but I am thinking it would be ok to use it anyway as long as the pump was always submersed.
