Hi there! -
08.15.2005, 02:04 AM
Hi, I'm a new member, but in no way new to rc. I'm friends with Dafni and am camel_rc's brother......except I do better projects. ;) My most recent project was an Ofna 9.5 buggy that I installed a Lehner 2800xl and Warrior 9918 in and actually got me on the map......with a feature article in the upcoming November edition of R/C Car Magazine! There's actually a couple pics in the current October issue:
I've also got a few other rc's, including a AE T2 with a Lehner 5300......another fun one to say the least. The other's are: Twin Force (being remade for more power, cheap style though), rock crawler Clod, and AE 18MT. They're kind of random choices, I know, but they're all fun in their own way......especially the Ofna. I love how freaking powerful that thing is, breaks all 4 wheels loose with a quick stab of the throttle. :D
Oh yeah, and I'm a ride op. at Six Flags Magic Mountain, no I won't get you in for free. :L:

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Thanks guys, Daf has been really cool, I've known him as an e-friend for a year and a half or so.......he's always been leaked my project ideas before I go public with them. :D
I don't have too many new ideas for my stuff, but mainly improvement concepts.....owning a car has taken a big chunk out of my rc spending. I guess with me a vehicle is never "done", I'll think of something cool and try to work it in.
I'm also a college student in Southern California majoring in "Manufacturing Technology", basically, machining.

Welcome to the site, Dabid! Perhaps we can find some work for you when you finish school! I always enjoy making stuff, though I am no machinist! If you are a friend of Dafnis, you must be a great person, so it is a pleasure to have you here!

Thanks for the kind words, Mike and Serum. And don't take Dabids statement too serious, I can keep a secret. :p

Daf, I meant it that I told you my secrets before anyone else knew about them, and you kept them a secret as well. Then there was when you were building up the Revo and had all the stuff shipped to my house for a layover, that was cool. :D

It's all good, now I understand. It's the fine details that still give me trouble with your language. I mistook "has been leaked" for "has leaked". No worries, sorted out.
Yeah, it was cool, indeed. Before I met Mike, oversea business was kinda hard (and expensive) for me, and you helped me a lot. I still appreciate our friendship, and Camels too. It's just a shame that I live this far away. Even if I haven't met you guys in person, I can say you are decent lads. And I wish that one day I can cross the big pond.

Haven't said it's bad here. Would just be nice to have the chance to meet some of you guys. Bashing, racing and having a good time, aaand, having Camel making a video of it :)
BK-Land?! Yeah right, but I still get my stuff from RC-Land ;)

Coolhand, how long would it take from your place to Cali or to NY, by car, or plane or whatever??
Excuse the chattering, guys. Just curious.

A bit closer, indeed. I think I could be at Serums door in under 13h, by train.
