Ultrasonic cleaner for rc parts? - 11.28.2007, 08:14 PM

I was thinking about getting a ultrasonic cleaner like this one at Harbor frieght. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95563 . Anybody use an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning rc parts, bearings, ect. It seem like it would be better than scrubbing, solvents, rags and messes. Ultimately would it work to clean rc parts?

Get one and try it out bro... how does that thing work anyways..?... does it work like those air cleaning systems that draws the dust/debris into there... if it works that would be pretty F*cking cool... :)

do you have to use different kinds of solvents or just water.?..

Should work. It uses really high frequencies to shake off particles.

We have a ultrasonic cleaner next to my weld station, that we use to clean our metal, and I have tossed a my weeding ring in there to clean it, and it does great, as for other liquids, you can use others as well. Ours is filled with isopropyl alcohol..( rubbing alcohol).

I was thinking if it works, You could throw in everything from A-arms to to diff gears and shock parts. I think you can fit a few things in there at once. Probably has many other uses as well.

Endless uses heh.....

Maybe it could be useful in maintaining personal cleanliness! Wonder if it is safe for the "family jewels"?
