ext. crt.5 with ext. suspension and cvds - 02.11.2008, 11:32 AM

Here are a couple teaser pictures. The suspension and cvds should be ready in a couple weeks - pictures are the prototype. The suspension is .3" wider per side. The front upper arm uses a Revo rod end at the c-hub for additional strength (has a custom rod end insert). The total weight increase vs. the stock suspension is about 2-3 oz. total.

Enjoy. :)

Do you have an estimated cost on the ext suspension kit?

All I can say is woow!!!

Now you need to stretch the chassis, too, Mike.

The current one is incredible, but we despirately want to use regular size lipos without problems as well as a 95% fitness with the aftermarket bodies.

Nice to meet you!

If the price is right for a one-time bulletproofing, I might consider keeping my crt.5

I don't see any mounting holes for Jato/Revo shocks on the front . Otherwise, the arms look nice!

WOW! Sign me up for a pair! Is it possible to make the rears swept pack like the UE e-maxx arms? I think an extra 5-10mm in the wheelbase woukd do it good.

Thanks!

Bye

Well, there goes my RC8 project.... time to do a CRT.5 instead.

Looks great Mike!! Nice work. Any estimate on the entire kit (chassis, motor mount, a-arms, etc)? Maybe you should just stock up on shock towers and diffs as those parts will be the only stock parts left practically. Then you can sell it as a complete truck.

Soon it'll just be a 1/8th truggy conversion kit :P
Top stuff I reckon, I must say for suspension bits I prefer something with some flex (ie plastic). I've tried alu suspension arms before and then everything around them just starts snapping. Good to see though, I'll probably end up gettin em anyway haha.

Why do you guys want even more length? Why not just convert a 1/10th scale nitro if you want it that big?

Looks amazing mike!

Hey Mike,

The kit looks great. I love my RCM extened crt.5 chassis kit. Any news on the release date for the new stuff?

How about some aluminum arms that fit the stock kit?
