My lhs told me the reason Traxxas dropped Novak was that they weren't supporting them with good customer service. CC will never have that problem, their CS is top notch!

Thats bound to drop, and if it doesn't they'll never sell! E-Revo $430, MMM combo $350 Spektrum dx2.0 $170 = $1050 - $100-150 selling evx2,titans, and tq2 radio system. $900 and you can have it with a better radio

In reference to Tower having it listed at $989.99

Yeah, well knowing Tower Hobbies, that price will change 50 times by the time the E-REVO is out

Supposedly Traxxas, if anyone else Futaba. A traxxas employee said that they would start giving the 2.4 ghz to some of the other vehicles too.

2.4 for everything would be my pick, or just don't include electronics and make the ARTR.

This is exactly what I've been waiting for. I just pre-ordered an 80mm medusa for an e-revo I don't even own yet. I'll have to go cancel it and wait for this to come out.

Well going from the description (about the "lock on a free frequency when turned on" thing) it sounds more like a Spektrum/DSM type. There's no frequence hopping mentioned anywhere.

I think so. #1, you've already invested the money in the initial purchase, and #2, you can set it up the way you want it (within your abilities to make stuff). I'm re-doing mine again now, and wouldnt trade it for one of the new ones. If you want the low CG, buy one of the new chassis (25 bucks on Tower, less the skids and doors), or on flea bay, and a tranny, and transfer your other parts over.
I have a whole lot more pride in the one that I built than I would if I just purchased it.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

Well for those arguing about a price take a look here.....http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=TRA5608 Im sure mike will do better but for 684.99 i dont think that is too bad for what it offers.
