center diff savage - 12.05.2008, 08:32 PM

hey everyone im new here but wanted some input on my savage. Ive already asked if it is ok to run a medusa 36 70 1200 motor on 5s to power it and they said it is ok. but i thought id get a second opinion. It has cen diffs and is using a 46 tooth spur. Is that gearing to high for the motor? Thanks for any advice.

That is going to be a bit high. An OFNA 51t center diff almost perfectly matches the stock Savage tranny ratio. It should work for you to use the 46 that you have if you change the front and rear ring and pinions to the LSP truggy ratio.

I would go with a 80mm medusa on 6s or 8s.
