I told him if he wanted to try my 200A and he said the LRP puts out 400A. Funny how the next time I saw him, he wanted to return the LRP. I asked him again and the fool said he was having his own ESC being made and as of yet, I haven't seen nothing, but he did ask me for a 200A through one of the forums lol. My guess is that most of the companies put out the over rated specs to get all the fools to buy their products, because they go by their numbers. Now the only way to get the companies to actually stop doing that is to be more educated and start asking them how in the hell can I get 400 or more amps from your ESC? Maybe they'll feel the pressure and start posting some realistic numbers and start education a lot of people out there in the hobby.
Agreed. Novak even says their GTB a 540A ESC, but in fact we can tell is just a good 90A speedo.
To find this number, I had to take it apart to see what MOSFET is used inside, then search and read the MOSFETs' datasheets from International Rectifier, ST semi, and On semi. But I can imagine not everyone will do this, they have to believe what the advertisement says, no second choice.
On the other hand, I can't say Novak is lying, nor LRP, because the MOSFET datasheet does mentioned somewhere for that number of amperage, but it's pulsed spec under extremly strict test condition such as the temperature inside the silicon die no more than 25C, which is obviously not realistic under normal use.

I think its great that lrp is making a sensored system. I really like the lrp comp in 10th scale and the only reason I dont still run it is because I switched to the tekin this season. Lrp is my backup now. Either way the next 8th scale I do will be sensored or atleast sensored at startup like the tekin.

I don't like their buggy, i think there is too much weight in the back of the car. The motor looks also very small, i think a Feigao L can will outpeform it easily.

But it's a really huge improvement compared to the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2008 where the were proudly showing their 1700mah NiCd packs

You mean you don't like their conversion of this buggy . Mike mentioned his mount for the LRP/SH buggy keeps the weight further forward, unlike LRP's.

The LRP stuff is all made by Speed Passion (so Hobbywing). Their motors are Feigaos too. If anyone wanted this, they could probably pay 2/3 the amount for the Speed Passion ESC and motor. Not that you'd want to.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

If anyone has picture(s) of the inside, I can see who actually made it. At the moment, I doubt that Hobbywing made it since the LRP doesn't have many of its features.

Speed Passion certainly make the LRP 1/10 ESCs and motors... In the same way their engines are made by SH. Basically, like so many things, it appears that for the extra money, you are getting a badge/name...

Trust me on this one, Speed Passion is not a manufacturer. LRP has been out for a long time and even before Speed Passion was ever created. When I say things in this nature, I only bring actual facts.

I stand corrected. (Though their engines are definately made by SH)
