The Great State of Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 03.05.2008, 11:49 PM

Hey all,

Just wanted to share with any and all Texans that we are moving back to God's country. My situation is this...

We are driving to our new home; however the movers are packing and moving our stuff. Is it overkill that I want to transport my RC cars (not tools & equip) with us? It's worth noting that all computers as well as items that fire -ahem- projectiles will be in our vehicle as we drive home to the Lone Star State. My question to you is this...should I let the mover/packers handle my RC cars or should I do it myself?

I think you should do it. If I were in the same situation, there's no way I would let someone else do it, just because there's no way of telling if they are properly organizing everything. And surely you have some expensive stuff that you wouldn't want to have misplaced.

Glad to hear you are moving back to Texas! I go to school in Waco but my home is south of Houston.
You know everything is bigger and better in Texas!

When I left for Katrina, I took my RCs and left alot of other stuff behind. Pack and carry yourself.

Say goodbye to old Wild Wonderful West Virginia for me... My home State. I know when I moved out to Utah I didn't mind the thought of less humidity, and more sunny days to say the least.
Pack yourself. I have had some things damaged from movers and it was a pain to settle.

Thanks all, I think I have decided to pack the RC stuff myself...at least the trucks and the radio equipment. I guess I will let the packers take my tool and parts boxes.

Well...we have been here for almost a year and we are getting settled in nicely. As some of you know from reading my posts...I haven't really been into racing but recently I have become more and more intrigued by the thought racing. Are there any brushless friendly tracks around the Dallas-Ft. Worth area? I am looking for 1/8 scale...either off-road or on-road racing.
