IF the brushes are bad in the motors the power will suck.
Sounds like what I might try, dropping a pinion tooth or 2. How do I adjust the slipper? Is it possible the brushes could be bad, I just got it outta the box with only 10 minutes of driving total?

ONly 10 minutes of driving i doubt they bad.
If you haven't tighten or check the slipper it is a good possiblity that may be a problem. You don't want to go to tight cause the stock slider to the wheels
well ring off.
The slipper is right under the cover where the motors are. It tells you in the manul on it.

Peace!

OK, I just ran it on the carpet again and its definately the slipper clutch, not tire spin. In fact if I hold the truck and give it gas the tires stay put while the motors spin so the clutch is way out......from the factory:031: . Im gonna try to firm it up. The manual says it should not slip under acceleration. If thats the case it will pull wheelies like mad.

I made some adjustments to the slipper. It was set way conservative. Tightened it fully and backed it out 5/8's of a turn(manual calls for a 1/4 out) It wheelies now, and in second gear:cool: At least on the carped....its still raining:019:

I saw somewhere you can get ski's for the front wheels. 4 sets of artic tracs would be cooler though.

In the pics above is the LVC going to see voltage for both packs or just the pack on the bec side?

From both pack's, it is connected to "neg" side of one battery and "pos" of another, middle point (other "neg" and "pos") is shorted via ESC.

This thread is a bit old, but I'll update it anyhow. The emaxx is still running fine on the 2s2p's and the motors are holding up. The truck has taken a beating however.

I had to make an opening in the side of the trays for the wires, otherwise the packs would not lay flat. Also the little clips that hold the wires on the side of the gear covers had to be trimmed off or the pack would hit them as well. Thats why the wires are going over the moters instead of along the side.

I'm not so happy with the wires hanging out the side of the trays as it slightly buldges the body and potentially is in harms way from debris.I could always make the notches on the inside by the esc but that was going to take way longer and it was 2am when I was making initial fitment. I was a little dissapointed that maxxamps does not mention any fitment problems like this on there site, oh well.

The LVC blinks 4 times to indicate the the 4 cell configuration, so I guess its working right. A full charge took a bit over 3 hours @ 2.5amps. The initial voltage was 7.4v and now reads 8.32v Can't wait for some dry weather to take it out for a bashing:027:
what LVC brand are you using? and is it for 4s or 2s? ofcourse 4s, but Novak sells 2s and was thinking of buying two 2s. I don't know. help!
