hv 4.5 rotor shaft

hv 4.5 rotor shaft - 03.22.2009, 07:32 AM

is the rotor shaft supposed 1 piece or 2 piece can u glue togrther or is it broken look at attachments

was playing thought i stripped spur gear wasn't that saw motor was strggling pulled apart shaft came outbut magnet stayed inside motor had to use plyers to get magnet out

it came unglued, you could try some gorilla glue or something like it , if not you will need to send it in/ buy a new one , i would contact novak and see what they suggest

Unless it was a manufacturing defect, you likely got the motor a little too hot. Gotta agree, I have never seen that before either.

I would use an epoxy before gorilla glue or better yet get a new rotor! As it was already said you most likely got it pretty hot to do that, so the magnet could be demagged or at the least weaker now.

So far the best thing I can find to glue stuff like that is jb weld. I am sure that there must be something specifically made to do this, but jb weld is easy to get just about anywhere.

I would contact novak and they will most likely replace it for you. Their CS is pretty good.

PM me your contact info, and I will have CS send you a new HV rotor.

We use a special high temp adhesive that we furnish to our rotor vendor---we cannot allow them to use any adhesive that they source.

Glad your back NovakTwo, manufacturers need reps on here to help answer questions. We have a lot of knowledge here but sometimes it's really nice to get some of the more technical answers.
