Problems with calibrating MMP - 11.13.2009, 02:56 PM

Got my MMP (running the original V1.22 software that it came with).

When I tried to calibrate it (turning the switch on while holding full throttle etc...) it registered forward fine but it didn't register brake/reverse ( and of course I didn't get to the neutral calibration part).

I'm running 2 MMs and one MMM in other cars with the same radio gear (Spektrum DX3R) and never had problems calibrating.

I tried to reverse the throttle channel and different throttle/brake end points but it didn't help.

Any ideas how to calibrate?

BTW - I tried running the car without calibrating the MMP and everything seems to be acting normally, the MMP isn't dead or anything, just won't calibrate.

I tried EPAs of 100%, 120% and 150% and none worked.

I know that spek. dx2/3s have a "secondary" EPA on the grip that can affect the calibration...

I just verified the the EPA on the grip is set to max.
I also tried setting the EPA to 125%.
Still registering forward but not brake/reverse.

I had a similar problem with one of my MMPros. I tried a few things and can't remember which worked, but I fiddled with the throttle trim and also reflashed the firmware.

Brian,
did you reflash to the same version or to a newer (beta) version?

Actually, I flashed to an older version, and then again to the current version.

Ok, problem resolved.
I tested several firmware versions and the problem occurs only in versions 1.22 and 1.23.
Versions 1.21 and 1.24 calibrate without any problems.

Avner.

I had the same issue, updating to the latest firmware seemed to fix it
