That's cool you got it to work. Have you ever used a ring fader from Sick Mods? I used one in mine and it is bad ass! They came out with a version 2 that adds a lot of awesome effects. I would have to guess that a lot of people would want this. They also have cheep LEDs.

How do I embed a youtube link?

I haven't looked at the site-yet, but just wanted to say, it's better to use correct spelling and grammar over being lazy and using shortcuts and such. Take it this way, I would spend more on a company that has correct grammar over a company that shortcuts the spelling. Just my two cents....

Again I haven't seen your site yet so I'm just saying....

you are correct. I tried to spell everything out and make everything seem professional..

for example.. instead of RROD i put red ring of death... some places I abbreviate but for the most part i spelled it out all..

and instead of you can txt me anytime.. i put text... Its the small things that I think matter.

also I would like to point out that I did not make this site intending on it actually bringing in me money...

maybe 6 months down the line... but right now my business will come from forums, youtube, and ebay. This site is just made for testimonials and a place where I can show off my work.

Any work for PS3's? YLOD, is not as common the the RROD on the 360. But it still happens my 60GB PS3 has gotten it twice, but with some research I managed to fix it for under $20 myself and am 16.

Im going to stick with 360s.. for now.. I have seen the ps3s YLOD and everything, but in my opinion there is more money to be made in microsoft products. ps3s n such just arent as popular

the machine i bought came with ps3 stencils so if i get bored with 360s i can start messing with ps3 stuff.. there products are just so much more complex and harder to take apart.. I modded 2 ps3 controllers and it was a friggen mission taking the dang things apart.

Haha yea, first time I took my PS3 apart it took me about 2 hours to get it all working properly. Second YLOD took me about 1 hour to be bak in working order. PS3 YLOD is just too rare.

What the hell is reballing? I think you may be talking about solder joints, but IDK.
Perhaps its better to be a little less specific on the method of repairs unless asked? It sounds a bit confusing and intimidating if you are not really into this stuff.

Mine broke once, and I have no idea if "reballing" would help. Maybe your work doesn't apply? If you just say you will fix it for $40 and improve cooling and heatsinking on top, sounds understandable and a good deal.
Perhaps just a picture of a board on the soldering machine, so it looks like a highly professional and automated service w/o having to be too technical. IDK, just a thought.

G/l and if I have another RROD, I'll lyk :)

I'm more ignorant than anyone & I'm amazed that people would pay money to have the box cut & clears installed etc. Clearly I'm missing something

Great work if you can get it...want a free testimonial t-maxxracer32? happy to support even if I don't understand it!

If you pull the GPU CPU and southbridge chip off the 360 they will not have an easy "solder job" There is a grip of little balls holding the chip in place..
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/25/65...67cee5e0d0.jpg

What i do is lift the chip up with the machine.. get the other little mechanism i bought that holds the chip in place while i resolder all the balls back on. (reballing)

I dont have to solder each ball individually or anything like that.. they come preform to each specific size and I use solder paste to hold the balls on while I put it back on the board.. then reflow it together (heating up the board causing the solder to join up with the board)

typically the main problems with 360 whether its RROD 2 or 3 E74 etc... is just the GPU CPU or southbridge chips.

that is why the xclamp mod fixes almost everything because you clamp the chips down tight. Even with a cold solder joint it will still clamp it so tight that they will connect.

Problem with this is that it doesnt always clamp it tight enough and it will typically bend the board

your advice on what to say about my RROD fix is good. I may change it up to that.

not everyone knows how to do these mods that I do and it really took me like a whole year to get good at it.. good enough to where i feel confortable doing it for other people..

Reason why people pay good money for it is because it looks sick! its original.. very rarely will you see someone with an xbox like this..

Alot of it is that people wanna impress there freinds but dont feel like putting in the effor to figure it out themselves so they pay someone else to do it..

does that make sense?

and if you wanna give me a testimonial id be happy to take it

I have a few suggestions:

1) If you are really serious and want to set up this small business right I would suggest registering your operation as a limited liability corporation (LLC). There are a few reasons for this, a big one being that having an LLC gives you some protection. If someone should ever sue you or something like that they can only go after the assets of the LLC, not your personal assets. It sounds ridiculous to think someone would ever sue you, but it could very well happen (someone claims your work on their Xbox caused a short, started a fire, and burned down their house). Especially if you are looking into doing the firmware modding and game backups (personal use or otherwise), you don't want to risk losing your house or car if Microsoft catches wind and decides to make an example. Right now you are small, but you could grow quickly, and forming an LLC from the start is a good idea. It doesn't cost much at all, and can be considered cheap insurance.

2) Keep good financial records of all your transactions; payments received, purchases for goods and materials, other misc. expenditures. This way when it comes time to do taxes you can claim the money you spent on the reballing machine and other equipment/materials as business expenses.

3) Register a domain name. Using the free website host and domain is an OK starting point, but doesn't seem very professional.

4) Brainstorm some ways to differentiate yourself from the competition. There are many people out there fixing Xbox's, you need to give the people a reason to choose you.

5) Branch out and diversify your offerings (e.g. someone mentioned fixing PS3's)

Good luck with your new venture!

Edit: Just checked out the website, good idea to mention the reballing machine, highlight that more (pictures showing equipment?) to further differentiate yourself from the competition and show you have invested in this operation. The only thing I would be a bit wary of as a customer is the 2 week warranty. To potential customers that doesn't show much confidence in your repairs. Usually I think 1-3 months is a pretty standard warranty for refurbished items, so you may want to consider that.

Hey t-maxxracer32, What all needs to be done to run pirated games in my xbox? Does it affect live? And can you hook me up with games?

On my bro's original xbox he had a finicky little mod chip (if you bumped the xbox their was always the chance if the chip moving and effin evry thing up) installed to make pirated games work....The up side was,we had like 100 games.........and some times up to four on a disk
