Pretty cool, that guy has WAY to much time on his hands. Needs a hobby !

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Way too much fun. Lot of money in magnets there.

He probably is somehow employed in the field. That's funny magnetic "field". He probably went to college for this stuff.

Yeah, that's gotta be roughly $1500 worth of NIB magnets there. He should make a AC frequency controllable coil to control the rotor.

That's pretty sweet. Now wind some coils and make it a functional BL motor!

So lets review N. pulls S., N pushes N., S. pulls N., S. pushes S. repeat for 3 minutes at different speeds. I want one.

No doubt, those look like almost 200lb magnets... I have got my right index finger inbetween two ~300lb magnets, didn't break it luckily, but fuuuuuu... I felt so helpless for a couple minutes trying to pull more than 300lbs with a couple fingers from my opposite hand. Had to get a crow bar in there and GINGERLY pry it without injuring my finger. I couldn't pull my finger out the side as it would have just tor the skin right off, not that I could as there was so much pressure and friction.

You could make a pretty powerful generator with those magnets if you had some coils made up.
