Picked up this '09 XT8 a couple of months ago knowing I wanted to run a electric truggy for next year and since my Xray T3 works so well on the carpet I knew xray was the way to go for the dirt as well. Just got the conversion a couple of days ago, so it was time to convert her over. The conversion is really well built, everything went together smoothly, awesome job Mike I also went for the optional receiver box which cleans all the electronics up nicely. Im going to run a Tekin RX8 with the 2250 truggy motor on 4s. I picked up a 16t pinion but I have no clue of thats going to work well or not, any suggestions? The body is the Bulldog for the MBX6T. Anyways here are some pics, and yes I know I need to lower the rear body mounts

very nice indeed. Mike does make THE best conversion kits around...often duplicated but never replicated.
1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S
Well I got the motor system mounted up and programmed. Hopefully the 16T pinion is ok for the first test. I also lowered the rear of the body and it looks even better now Just need to put it on the setup station and then get it on the track
Nice Looking truck! Gotta love XRAY! I am running 5s with a 1550kv motor, I am geared 14/46 and am still messing around with that new timing feature in the software. I dont really think there is an exact setup for everyone, but you might want to give the speed calc a try. http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/
Do yourself a favor and pickup a Slipperential. Mike offers delrin gears and it will save your entire drive system. A friend’s Losi without Slipperential is looking at new drive pins after one season of racing.
Does the Slipperential really make that much of a difference?
It's really a nice tuning option and it helps save the entire drive system. I run one in my XT8 and Gorillamaxx. Just make sure you get the real deal from RC-Monster and not the cheap fake one.
Well I took it out for its first test run today and it did really well. The chassis flies nice and neutral. Im defiantly impressed and I have yet to put it on the setup station. I can defiantly see were the slipperental would be nice to help smooth out the power. I will have to pick on up over the winter for next year.
Just ordered the slipperential finally, anything setup wise with it I should know?
I guess it probably depends on what the track condition is like. I am running 5k-7k-3k for diff oil in my setup (similar to yours). Did you get the steel gear or the delrin gear?
