Aluminum idler - 06.03.2005, 11:28 PM

Can anybody tell me where to find an aluminum idler for a stampede? Ive been looking all over the net and ebay and cant find one to save my life. Im also trying to find a steel diff or something that isnt stock plastic, my tranny needs to be beefed up.

I will see if I can dig up these parts for you. If I can get them, I will list them in the store. I have talked with Cold Fusion about carrying his steel diffs, but I need to revisit this topic with him. The idlers should be available at a local hobby shop, I would think.

I spoke too soon on the idler gear, I ended up finding that last night at towerhobbies. Now the weakest link is the plastic diff, I will surely snag two of those if you can get them listed.

I was also wondering about delrin top gears, the stock gear appears to be pretty tough, I dont know what kind of metal its made of since it has a goldish tint. Should I put a delrin gear in with the aluminum idler? Ive heard mixed comments about changing out the stock top gear.

Stick with the stock top gear.
