Lipo maxx pics - 06.29.2005, 10:26 PM

well, i got my lipo packs today and i have to say i am very impressed with the quality of these packs. i got them all installed today and they fit great in the batt cups i got. i also bought some komodos. The truck now only weighs a tad over 9lbs rtr!! I raced last night and finally brought home a win. I tq'ed in both the quals and won the a main. i beat the "best" revo (very good driver with great truck) by almost a lap. My truck ran great and i finally got through a night without breakage. i ran really consistant laps. I ran last night with my 3300s and 40 bowties (truck was almost 12 lbs rtr). well here are some pics...

Those are 3S packs right?

Why don't you use flat head screws for your g-maxx? it is likely you damage the cf from using those standard screws.

Sweet! Looks like all you need now is a G-Maxx single speed conversion ;)

Lose the front bumpers, get the single speeed and UBEC and drop the receiver pack and you will be below 9 pounds by a few ounces.

I run my controller without the rec. pack on 5s Lipo without any trouble, but I can't recommend it(technically, it is only rated for 12 cells). With one servo, it will most likely be fine that way.

Hey Supermaxx,

Have you by any chance weighed your Komodo/wheel combo (Sportmaxx wheels, yes?)?

I just weighed the e-maxx stockers (11.2oz), mine are 7.3oz (XLB wheels w/ grinder tires)...was wondering how light your combo is and what kind of hookup you're getting compared w/ the Pro-line 40 series bow-ties.

thx!
