in need of advice... - 11.13.2007, 03:55 PM

hey all, i've been searching & reading on this forum for the last month or two trying to figure out what vehicle to build & am now at a loss, i've seen so many nice setups on here that i knew this is the right forum for advice.

i've had nitro monster trucks for awhile now but they are physically a crazy workout for me from my wheelchair, i'm always going to different elevations so not having to tune a vehicle all the time would also be nice, so i'm going electric.

i have bl xxx-t that i use & am very happy, but i'm hooked on having a bl 1/8, also i apologize because i know there are threads about this all over & i've read them, but i just want to make sure i'm getting the right vehicle.

i plan on getting a jammin chassis, if i came across a nice losi chassis i wouldn't be opposed to it, my lhs carries parts for both, but not sure if i should get a buggy or truggy. i have a couple good leads on a rolling cr chassis so i've been leaning towards it, this will be my first build & i don't have a real means to fab a lot of parts so i'll be using the rc monster store a bunch.

it'll be used for bashing on hard pack dirt or low cut grass so ground clearance isn't a huge factor, i live by a bmx track that i use a bunch. my number 1 priority is reliability, i'm looking for run time & speeds around 35, controllable power.

i planned on this setup:
jammin cr or crt
quark
9xl
4s lipo
don't know about gearing, i've read a bunch of stuff about gearing but am at a loss

seems to be the general setup, again i'm looking for reliability so if i need to spend extra on a quark over the mm then that is what i would want to do, but i don't want to go just crazy.

thanks everyone
