Emaxx to 1/8th Buggy Conversion? - 08.14.2005, 10:24 PM

So I was challenged by my local track to do 1/8 buggy. If you know me...if it spills, leaks or smells...I don't want it so I won't race nitro. I would guess having kids are out too since the spill, leak and smell. Any ways, I want to make my Emaxx and super-fast 1/8 buggy, minus 5cm in length. So I need a lil help picking out the upgrades.

Will the Pro-Line HD Hex Adapter 23mm Maxx Revo MGT fit normal 1/8th buggy tires?

Driveline? Seems plastic is a lil weak for racing, CVD? Gearing? Single or 2 Speed.

Motor and Controller? Would the stock motors be fine or should I do a simple Novak HV swap or into exotic brushless and controller setups. 20 cells would be awesome to pull out the most watts from 3300nihm but could be a lil heavy for my taste since jumping and turning will be required.

Body? Baja Truck body or buggy? Not like I am legal for racing outside my local track so I quess body really doesnt matter.

If you like my Idea of Brushless 1/8th scale buggy racing....promote it. Call traxxas, mugen, kyosho or your favotire brand and say EMBRACE BRUSHLESS....cause your drivelines are too weak for running brushless. But if you just have suggestions for making my 1/8 buggy right the first time without blowing the bank rebuying the right stuff.
