This is why I like linc's posts as compared to others who just try something a couple of times, don't really test it throughly. then claim how great it is. (the others part is mainly referring to people on other boards, no this one)

This is one of those sites I read about 1000 times more than I ever post. There is always a lot of information on here, and a lot of detail. This is actually one of the few sites that doesn't constantly flame people.

As far as trying to get 60 takedown, is there a specific reason you are using the 8xl.

I got my pede (full FLM widened and lengthened, MM, 5700kv, 3s) up to 60. I think it was geared like 19/86. The nice thing about the MM is a controlled the punch and modified the throttle curve to help keep the front end on the ground and didn't have to use weights. It still wants to try and fly though. However, I have since grown bored with it and it is on it's way out the door although I will keep the MM ESC and sell everything else.

If you are still on the plastic drive shafts don't worry, mine held up fine.

Edit: oh yeah and that was proline street hawg tires.
