When I bought the V-Balancer, it came with a lead for the gold bricks. That lead has the two bullet connectors and a small tiny plug connector and the lead plugs directly into the balancer. I was wondering what plug that was or what model balancer this was based off of so I could get an adapter lead to use this to balance the Neu packs.

Here is the best picture I could find of it (click picture to make bigger):

And most likely the flightpower adapter pack that the std v balancer is sold with, as your v balancer only came with the leads to hook to the trakpower packs. It woks great on all of my packs, and I prefer the v balancer interface to the lba balancers. The fuel gauge is cool too.
If you don't mind, do you have links or can tell me where to purchase these leads? I am relieved that I can still use this balancer. I agree the interface is easy to use and the fuel gauge made me chuckle at first as I thought it was pure marketing. It actually comes in handy. I was told that 2s packs didn't get out of balance that bad, but I was surprised the first time I used the balancer on my packs (I know I should have bought right away but went on what I was told).
