Cooling the inside of the motor is a little pointless since the coils are attached to the can. Maybe cooling the magnet helps?

These look awesome and if Neu is installing these, dust can't be a HUGE problem(???)...

The Bigmaxximums also have fans on them, has anyone with a BM ever had troubles with dust getting in the motor?

As others have said, the BM fans blow air on the outside, so it's not an issue. I can see fans on the Neus helping more if the fin orientation was lateral, not perpendicular to the can, but regardless, they really don't need fans IMO.

Just take a piece of thin aluminum sheet and make a cover. It doesn't have to be thick to keep dirt out, but it should be thermally conductive so you can use the motor mount as a secondary heatsink...
