The 1521 would be overkill IMO, but still good. I would use some kind of punch control or something to take the monstrous torque that thing is capable of! The 1515 would be a better match IMO, or even a 1512.

The Turnigy is a very cheap alternative, but it has some kind of slow ramp-up that some don't like. But yeah, you need mech brakes with that ESC, and you don't get reverse either.
