Question - 05.14.2008, 02:59 PM

Hey TDC I could use some help since you have already completed your latest build. I am working on a project and I just received a pair of FLM hybrid diff/bulks from RCM. I got the hardened steel gear set, and the heavy duty pinion gear with the outdrive coupler. I never realized that the 1/8 diffs were so heavy duty. The mere size of the pinion shaft is very surprizing. The only thing that is missing is the pinion bearings & of course shims. Do you know what size the bearings are and where on might get them? A link would be nice. If I can get a list of the various sizes that I need I was thinking about purchasing like 100 bearings from Avid, since they are $1 each. Also are there any aluminum diff cups that will work on the Hot Body diffs? I do know that there are a set of aluminum "Torsen" diffs but at $120 a piece that is more than I wish to spend on one diff. I purchased the "Hot Body" diffs with the helical tooth ring and 10T-pinion gears, and I really like the way they look. For the price they look like they will hold up to pretty much anything in the Monster trucks. So if you have some info I would appreciate the assistance. Thank you.
