They are what we car guys call drag brakes. Brakes kick in as soon as you start returning throttle to neutral. Just takes some getting used to.

I just finished putting my HV-110 (with PiStix adapter) and 8S lipos in a 1.8 truggy with a 9XL and my settings are as follows:



I started at about 40% and that was some seriously hard braking so I went all the way down to 20% and kept brake ramping at super slow.

Don't fear the HV-110.
