So anyway, after about 15 runs or so on that Align 600XL, it died a very smokey death. First time running it on 4S LiPo, about 7 minutes into the run and the Maxx coasted after a full throttle pass and wouldn't respond to throttle or brake input, took the body off and smoke was rolling out of the vents on the motor. Based on what alot of people told me, it was probably a short in the windings. But it got hot enough to make the motor pretty much loose all of its magnetic strength. And since its an inrunner/outrunner hybrid, it has "bar" type magnets that are spaced equally around in the inner rotating can, and appearently they came unbonded and now there a clumps of 2 and 3 of them together, not equally spaced. So after that 600XL fried, I took it out and did some work on the Maxx..... (pictures coming up.)
